Ginori 1735

The Ginori story began in 1735 in Doccia, a small town near Florence, when the Marquis Carlo Andrea Ginori, a porcelain enthusiast, opened a factory. It was to become the first Italian porcelain factory.

From the early 1920s, the architect Gio Ponti was the artistic director and anchored the factory in modernity by developing techniques and decorative design.

The brand was bought in 2013 by the Gucci group, which rejuvenated the brand by launching the Oriente Italiano collection in bright colours.
